Last night, I drove Jane and Dawn to Halifax, where we had Chinese :) Yum.
Woke up and found something beside me which I wasn't expecting. You know what it's like - you wake up in the morning and you're not awake properly, you find someone beside you who you're not expecting! Was very pleasant.
Tidied like a madman. Living room now spotless, kitchen cleaner than ever, sofa propped up on some sturdier books and pictures of the broken bits taken so I can get them sent to Ikea when I get time to write this letter. Michelle and Ian (and Poppy) arrived - had a nice few hours with them :) Good to catch up.
They left, Jane and I went to sleep as for some reason, we were both absolutely knackered! We snoozed until about half-six when we watched Dodgeball and I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself :) Then she left... oh well. Can't have it all.
Now watching The Ipcress File on BBC4, a stonking film however always on late at night. Annoying, because I want to watch the end, but I have to get up early to do 2 post office jobs which Gap called to offer me with a 250% increase in fees as they're not that close to me. Not far from work though, so will do them before going in if possible (i.e. I manage to get out of bed before 0800), if not I'll do the 2nd one at lunch.
[Edit: I just checked through my paperwork and it appears that I don't have a receipt for the sofa! Why on earth not, Phil? I am fairly obsessive over things like this... wonder if it's been stored somewhere else, somewhere "safer" than my normal files.]
