Been helping out the newbies

Today was spent wandering around the newbies and helping them out. The day flew, though mainly because I think I sleep-walked through most of the day. I'd done my two jobs in the morning and gotten up at some ludicrous hour to get there on time - I'd never been to Hemsworth again and... I don't think I will do again! It was a nice enough place, just a bit dull.

Pictures of the damaged sofa taken, no receipt found though. I've found out when I bought the sofa so in my letter I will ask if a copy of the statement from that period showing the transaction to Ikea will suffice.

drove with it for the first time tonight. it only has one slightly robotic male voice (unlike tomtom which has a sexy woman called jane) as far as i can tell, and it left some junctions a bit late before telling me which way to go, but it worked pretty ok apart from that.

have to investigate a bit more if there's any way to make the backlight stay on when you're driving at night so you can actually see the damn thing.

No idea :) We don't touch the Co-Pilot software, I have 100% no idea how it works. Personally, I'd rather use maps.google.co.uk / multimap.com / an atlas!

Glad to hear that it actually works OK though! I've not heard from anyone who uses it before now.
