That Was The Week That Was. It was a very uneventful week other than winning the iPod. Monday was a good day for me - the guy in the Games Workshop was fab and enthusiastic and I very nearly walked away with the LoTR games starter set ;) The problem being that I don't think I can be arsed to paint my own characters and scenery.
Friday, Jane came over and we did not much, other than talk, watch TV and sleep as I was tired (long day at work). Saturday I was at work as well (whoo, eh?) so had to abandon the lady - as I got home from work I had planned to cook (pork chops and baked potato) but could not be arsed, so we had a Chinese take-out instead :) We then headed out to the local UGC (now Cineworld! Ack!) in Sheffield, for a late show of The Island - which was really enjoyable. Not necessarily the most believable of films I've ever seen but it was really fun. The best bit being, that one ticket and the drink will be reimbursed, hurrah!
Didn't get home till nearly 2am! The M1 was closed between J36-J37 and they'd diverted everybody through Worsborough and Barnsley - NOT big roads, many of them in bad repair and quite narrow. What fun that must have been for people who live there.
Sunday - I had tickets to go to some motoring event in Donnington Park, but we couldn't be bothered - the weather was crap and we had a late night. Instead we pottered, did not much, relaxed and planned events for October.
I'm disappointed really. Jane and I are going to go to London to stay with the parents and do birthday celebrating thingies, but she'll be going from Shrewsbury and I from Sheffield. We were trying to figure out some way of doing it together, but those pesky penines get in the way. So we're going to end up going separately. Daft really, seeing as Midland Mainline are doing a ticket (single, available each way) for £3.65 including railcard discount! It costs nearly that much to get to Sheffield from Barnsley, doubling my fare each way for a fraction of the distance!

I caved in. I'm not a good secret-keeper. More to the point, I may decide yet to keep it for myself *G* I dunno - I'm just useless *G*
