I slept in until 11am, erk. Considering I should have been in Rotherham by then, according to my own schedule, that's a bad thing. I was planning on getting up about 9 and printing my paperwork, then heading out to do several Pets at Home stores, with a couple of McDonalds 'special' assignments - oooo! Instead of burgers, is for their new deli sandwiches.
So panicked. Screamed for a few seconds and then calmed down. Printed off paperwork, set off for 12. Got horrendously lost thanks to Autoroute's fabulously detailed instructions. So detailed, a simple "turn right" can be changed into a sequence of no less than 8 instructions. Because of this, and a complete inability to read that far ahead and drive at the same time, I got rather lost. Well, I say 'lost', I was actually in the right place but didn't know it because the street name "Local Road" is useless :)
I've decided that I'm going to write my own bit of software some day which will say "Turn right onto the A638" and "follow signs to the M18" instead of the stuff that Autoroute came out with today!
It took me a lot longer to get anywhere than I expected. So I ended up in Sheffield at 5pm, so trying to get to Rotherham before the store closed went out the window, trying to get home through rush hour traffic was a struggle enough! Remind me never ever ever to get a job where I have to work 9-5 in a big city.
The deli sandwich for lunch was quite good (chilli chicken) and the tikka one was nice too. Definitely much nicer than any other foodstuffs you can get at McDs.
