Tell me to go, please?

I only started working on a new way of sorting out Pay As You Earn and Self Employed companies I work for on my spreadsheet of work/payments, I didn't mean to get so sucked in. I mean - it was becoming impractical to edit the formula every time I worked for a new company, so using named ranges was the perfect solution... then I thought that something else could be improved. Then something else. Then something else.

Damnit Phil, why couldn't you have done this at 8pm when you got back from work, why's it ALWAYS 12:01am you get the good ideas? :)

Join the club!

I get best ideas when my brain should take a rest, i.e. when settling down to sleep. Other times, I'm working, and ideas for personal things (as opposed to work) pop into my head.

As for work: I should be charging for my sleeping time!

Can you set up some kind of mental process to monitor when you're working on personal stuff and when you're working on work stuff? Then you could bill them exactly.... though on second thoughts this might be a bad idea. They'd find out just how much time you spend thinking about the work!

Oh I don't mind staying up late, that's not a problem. My problem is that I never have a good idea until it's too late to act on it properly.
