They May
They Could
They Should Be Giants
I was inroduced to TMBG by Rach ages and ages back. Of course I knew WHO they were beforehand, but only for the cliched and probably much hated track "Birdhouse in Your Soul". I went out and picked up "Severe Tire Damage" which (although I didn't know it at the time) is a live album and loved it. Every single track full of energy and packed with originality.
I recently got hold of a copy of "Flood" (thanks
pipsytip) and have been distinctly unimpressed. It feels flat, lifeless and unenthusiastic compared to what I expected. It's certainly original, but it feels like it's being performed with a lack of zeal compared to what I knew.
I know as well as anyone not to judge a band on one song/album so will be on the lookout for more, in order to try and revive my liking for them.

Flood rocks, you're crazy. Give it time. Mind you I had Flood and Lincoln first, so I'm biased. They are all pretty different, the Giants are good at that.
