I saw an ad on Totaljobs or some other website and emailed the named contact about it. I forgot about it completely, and only when I got a phone call today did I even remember sending my CV off! Below are the details of the job I applied for.

Role title: Network Technical Support Engineer
Location: Swinton - Manchester (relocating to Warrington summer 06)
Company: Dedicated Micros

A key role within the Technical Support department the successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent support to a variety of Dedicated Micros’s clientele. Devising and presenting monthly statistical reports. Whilst continuously developing their own skills and knowledge base.

The ideal candidate will possess an ONC in PC/electronics or equivalent, excellent communication skills and have had experience of working within in a busy technical support department. Have previous experience in setting up of PC networks, CCTv and software programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, E-mail.

To apply, please send your full CV and current salary details to Joanne [snipped]

[Dedicated Micros]

Now, I don't have some of the stuff they've asked for such as electronics experience but they might offer training or not care that much about it, obviously they've seen my CV, know what I have to offer and think that I may be worthwhile having. This is a boost indeed.

As well as this, I've been in discussion with another Joanne (this is getting confusing) from Elan Computing (an agency), for a job with EDS (I think), as a "PDA Specialist". From what I've managed to figure out from the vague description that Joanne could give me, it's pretty much the same as I was doing in T-Mobile's TDMS department. Hurrah. Nothing definite back from that yet, and I chased the person up today to be told that they still hadn't heard anything back. I'll give them until Wednesday afternoon and chase again.

Hurrah. Positivity again.
