I've had a fab find this evening...... http://powwow.jazy.net/ - Anyone else remember Powwow? I love it. The best thing since well, the internet! I could keep up with my American penpal SO much more easily. And it vanished. It got swallowed up by some random corporation.

I'm really quite relaxed tonight. No TV, no radio. Just me and my spodmachine. And my typing really sucks. I put part of the relaxedness onto the fact that the 8am "Product Roadmap meeting" has been postponed. Thanks be. I struggle with 9am starts, never mind 8am ones.

I'm going to sit down with the Penguin History of America soon, and try for the 3rd time to start it. It's just so dry that it's a lot of effort.

Sorted out Tenants insurance at last. Bloody companies. Yes I know it's my own fault for not checking my paperwork but that won't make me feel any better :P I suspect the paperwork didn't get sent, because I definitely would have dealt with it if I'd received it - it's fairly important and I'm good with important things...

Invited to my granddad's 80th birthday party. Haven't seen him for probably over 10 years. Not sure I really want to go, but probably should turn up because well... ya know. It's like - the right thing to do. Or something. I'm such a good family member....

My thoughts go out to [livejournal.com profile] spindr who has had a fairly horrific couple of weeks. Hope the brain sorts itself out.

Had a good weekend in Shropshire. Went to Erddig to the Wrexham Food Festival which was held in the grounds gardens of Erddig country house/estate. Is an absolutely gorgeous site, on a blazing day. Had a nice day. We then went house-investigating. Decided that day to go to Whitchurch. Lovely little town. Absolutely dead. I had the best time in Whitchurch, between 2pm and 4pm :) Wouldn't go anywhere near a pub, couldn't get in most of them if we wanted to!

> Tenants insurance

Is that a service that ensures your fridge never runs out of cheap beer?

I hear Tenants Extra is a little better: it ensures a friend's fridge is likewise protected when you visit.

I can't decide if that's a service that's worthwhile or not. I'd rather have a policy which ensures I never run out of Nessie's Monster Mash or Hen's Tooth, or even IPA...

When I read your post I was a little shocked, to say the least. Couldn't think of anything to say that didn't come across as well... "stoopid"... so decided just to sound stupid anyhow :)
