Woooooot.

Well actually, I wrote to the MP for Warrington South about the traffic sitiuation in town and asked if there were any plans to improve the traffic flow, also asking about improvements to public transport to the Daresbury Park area. I would quite like to get to work and back by bus, but 1 bus an hour is unreliable on a long-term basis.

HELEN SOUTHWORTH MP
HOUSE OF COMMONS
LONDON SWIA OAA

Dear Mr Sumner,

Thank you for your letter regarding traffic congestion in Warrington and public transport to Daresbury Business Park.

I am aware of the problems caused by traffic congestion in the particular areas of the town mentioned in your letter and you may be interested to know that I have been hosting a series of meetings with several agencies, including the local authority; the Regional Development Agency, Network Rail and Virgin Trains to push for a way forward to resolve the matter. I have today written to the Chief Executive of Warrington Borough Council to bring up the matter with him again.

Regarding improved public transport services to Daresbury, I have taken this matter up direct with the Managing Director of Warrington Borough Transport Ltd.

When I receive a reply to either of my letters, I will contact you again. Thank you again for writing to me on this important issue.

I'm one step away from writing in to the Guardian's letters page :)

What a pair we make. Letters to Mps and who knows next thing we'll be chaining ourselves to the houses of parliament.
