We had a read-through of most of the script, missing out a couple of bits here and there but mostly going through it all. It was good fun, and hard work because the fools who put this Libretto together have seperated the dialogue from the music. So you are using the music for a song and immediately at the end have to flip back and find your words...

Another issue is that there are several differences between the score and the script. *sigh* Means people reading the score may be doing different things to people reading the script.

Issue number 3 - there's no dialogue or cues in the conductor's score! They have no idea when they should be coming in. Considering that there's a lot of underplaying and an awful lot of music in this show, I'd have thought that was kinda vital.

There's "politics" happening. It's getting to Jane, but what can I do? I listen and try not to make too many suggestions (we all know that when women moan they don't want practical solutions, they want sympathy - right?). It's really frustrating, there's stuff rumbling around because people think the audition process was unfair, there's stuff rumbling because they're unhappy they didn't get a part, there's stuff because people don't wanna do this that or the other.... And it's all a load of crap.

People really need to remember that they are adults - some seem to have forgotten.

Impressed. You seem to understand. ;-)

Understand, but it's not always that easy to put into practise. Someone says "I have a problem with x" and my immediate thought is "well what can we do to resolve x".

You're strange people, you know that?

Heh, I know. What's more amusing is that I have the same reflex, I just don't want it applied to me. ;-)

Ditto :-) I'm so glad I'm not the only female on the planet like that!!

I want loyalty in the face of the backstabbing top sops (why are they nearly always top sops?)
