Today I spent 2 hours working on a problem and not with silly customers, hurrah. Really weird issue, looks funky on playback (like an 80's disco) and reproducible... until I reset the unit. Then it stopped. D'oh. Yes I know it's now fixed, but that's not the point. They claim to have 20 different machines doing this, this isn't going to be a simple "reset it and it goes away" because it will probably come back again...

Yeah it was weird. The playback was funky, but only when doing a filtered download. It was fine in remote playback, fine on the monitor playback, fine in the raw download, but filtered downloads (which are essentially remote playback, just stored in a file instead of output to the screen) go wrong.

Anyhow, the upshot is that I've been asked if I want to go out to the site with one of the field guys. Whoohoo. Someone must have been listening. Probably going to be next week but looking forward to it.
