A random subject

A random post, I'm having problems with the BBC iPlayer. It occasionally works, but most of the time it freezes up my browser windows. I detest this infest-ware that both Sky Anytime and the iPlayer use, it totally takes over and is virtually impossible to remove once installed. Anyhow, now I just need to wait for everything to catch up with itself.

Channel 4's on demand service did that too. I'm not 100% sure but I have vague memories of reding that the infest-ware behind all three of them is the same (buggered if I remember what it was called though), and there's definitely a tool for removing the C4 on demand stuff. Worth a try.

It's the same back-end, yep. May be known as Kontiki, Kservice or Khost. The BBC variant's not as bad as the Sky one used to be. You can stop the BBC one from P2P sharing whereas the Sky one was unstoppable. Wonder if they've improved that yet...
