A bit like this day in 2007. The day where I spent several hours driving very slowly a very short distance.

So I decided not to risk it, and left home at 0800. Of course the roads were perfect, even clearer than normal. Gusty as anything but quiet. I was at work by 0820. And I was the only person there until 0945. The M6 - Thelwall Viaduct - was closed, and as we're not far from there the backlog of traffic on the M56 caused trouble for everyone coming from Manchester.

I had a good day, up until about 1600. It's curious how one person can do something to really get under your skin. Everything else in the world might roll off and slide away, but they do or say one thing and it thoroughly pisses you off. This was someone who wouldn't listen to me. He was told over and over and over again what his problem was and how to resolve it, but rather than going and resolving it, they decided to bitch about it, about something I couldn't do anything about, about a BT 2-Wire router of all things. If you've got a problem with a BT product, I would suggest you talk to BT about it...

Then the journey home was even easier. I think a lot of people "worked from home" :)

Best of all, Jane was at OMTC committee so I had the house to myself. Yay. Phil on his own equals beer and pizza.
