I'm slightly confused. I think confused is the right word, anyhow. Whilst I always have, always would and always will expect (and encourage) people to do what is best for them, it's not as easy as all that to accept. No matter how easy it may seem on the outside.

Yup, I wouldn't expect another's life to be put on hold the way I put my own life on hold - awaiting the time when it might happen, when the things you talk about could come true. Live life for today - go on. It's a cliché, but you could get hit by a bus tommorrow.
