Just watched 'And Maggie Makes Three' (Season 6 of Simpsons) and the ending is another of the truly touching ones (like 'Lisa's Substitute' with Dustin Hoffman... "You are Lisa Simpson", awww!). The Simpson family are asking why there are no pictures of Maggie in the photo album, and Homer explains how he's quit and reapplied for his job at the SNPP, and when he re-joined he was given a plaque reading "Don't forget: you're here forever".
At the end he says "Oh there are photos, I keep them where I need the most cheering up" and it zooms out a shot of the sign plastered with photos in such a way that it reads "Do it for her".
*sniffs*
I'm such a sap, yeah I know!
