I just found a hole in the crotch - oh well. They have lasted absolutely ages and get extraordinarily heavy wear. They were cheap too - Matalan's own brand.

I just found why my CD collection felt like it was too small - I have a couple of carry cases worth of singles that I forgot to put in. Prolly another 60+ more to go then! It's worth it in the end...

Ouch, I just found a spot on my head. Bastard thing hurts like hell. *squishes*

  • confused
  • hungry (again.....)
  • Suffering from sore eyes
  • Ticked off

Why, you might ask. Well - 1 and 3 are related - I had my glasses no earlier, and now I don't. Where they have gone is a mystery to me. I don't remember taking them off! Yet they are quite clearly not in front of my eyes right now.

Hungry? Well - quelle surprise. I swear I am going to staple my stomach one day.

Ticked off? Don't get me started... maybe explain later.

Anyhow, the main one is the glasses. Where the frig are they? (and no - they can't be behind the sofa...)

CDs CDs and yet more CDs. I'm getting to the stage now where I'm considering finding stuff to sell. Not like I don't have enough gubbins lying around! Can't sell my CDs though, no chance. No way. I mean it - no. Seriously. It pained me when I was burgled a long time back, and I got replacements through the insurance, but they gave me some duplicates and some that I just didn't want (The Very Best of Jazz Funk???). I sold some of them, there was no point keeping them. Even that hurt :)

I've done some room tidying, been meaning to do that for days now. Considering going to cut the lawn even shorter, as we've been fairly careful so far - keeping the blade fairly high. Oh, but first - As Told By Ginger starts in a few - best go watch it, eh? *grins* (I am such a sucker for teen-programs - apart from Saved by the Bell - which just bites. Sabrina, on the other hand.... *drools*)

It just doesn't make any sense - especially with this shitty "For Dummies" book, skipping over the important stuff and trying to get you coding as soon as possible. I am trying to find the simplest of all things - where a program starts when it's loaded - and can I? Can I hell. I know that it has a WinMain function, but where is it? Searching all the files reveals nothing. All I wanna do is load the LJ Win32 client's source, and follow it through, from start to finish - without having to use the debugger.

The book is a heap o' shite, and I am just about remebering how I got this far last time and gave up.

Everybody seems to assume when it comes to VC++ - that you either know nothing, or know lots. Being stuck in the middle - knowing how to code C++, but not knowing VC++'s way of doing things - is just a nightmare for finding stuff like that. Argh!

Click me.... no, go on. It's safe

That. See that window open? That is the curse of "target="_blank".

I often work with 10-15 windows open and just take a minute out to look at LJ every now and then. When someone does that it messes up everything. Please - for the love of Phil - don't add "target="_blank" to your links! I can control perfectly well when I want another window to open!
