The journey was nasty. Mainly down to my neck being sore the whole damn way. I couldn't find a comfortable position to sit. I got home, went to bed. Struggled to get comfy for half an hour before finding the one spot I could lie and not be in agony, and slept. I think I slept in that one position all night.

Today I feel much better. I can actually move my head without cringing, and my stomach is behaving, mostly. I am absolutely starving because haven't eaten anything over the last 3 days other than... 2 sausages on Sunday morning and a Sandwich in the evening, but I daren't put anything else in.

Must go pick up iPod from post office today. Got an hour until they shut up shop...

Another email offering me an interview:

Technical Customer Support Officer (11/7622)

I refer to your application for the above vacancy and would be pleased if you could attend for an interview as follows:

Date: Thursday 29th September 2005

Time: 11.15 a.m. Please note that the interview process will last for approximately 30 minutes.

Location: <snipped>

The way I'm feeling right now I just wanna say no, but I guess I should accept. Heck, I may still be off on the sick at that point (assuming I am still as bad tomorrow, I'll be calling in ick and going to the docs') - hopefully not because driving to Manchester wouldn't be fun.

Besides, it's hard not to be dejected after so many rejections :-)

I didn't get the Ken & Chelsea job. They said that my practical test wasn't perfect (I knew this - I forgot how to do date handling properly in access until she walked in the door at the end), but I'd made a very good shot at it and my logic was flawless. My interview was apparently pretty good but I was told that they wanted someone with project management experience, which I don't have and have no real way of getting in my current role.

Anyhow. I'm not too dejected. Obviously disappointed. I seem to be consistently getting interviews, which means my applications, covering letters and CV must be good. I just need to work harder at the interviews to blag my way in!
