Woke: 9am
First cuppa: 9.05am
Out the house: 9.30am
Car at garage for MOT test: 9.50am (I wasn't sure where it was and stopped to check google maps on my MDA a few times)
Car should be done by: 11am
House: State
Tidying: Ehhhhhhhhh, maybe
Letters received today: Confirmation of claim sent to Barclays from Northampton County Court, letter from Helen Southworth, MP for Warrington South and T-Mobile bill for £13. Gotta love cheap line rental.

People sometimes ask why I don't change mobile providers, and that's the reason - on what other network could I have Flext £25 and Web 'n' Walk 200 for less than £15/mo?

Calls made: T-Mobile. Trying to sign up to My T-Mobile for my second phone number for the 3rd or 4th time and it's failed every time.
Plans: Pick up and pay for car, try and tidy up a bit before Michelle comes. It's embarassing the mess in certain places round here.

More tea drunk.
Car back from MOT... failed 'cuz passenger side wheel bearings need replacing. Not too surprised. Have written another letter to Equipe garage advising them that I think this is their fault, and they should refund the cost of the work they did replacing tyres, which conveniently matches the cost of the repairs to the bearings.

Been to the Co-Op, have purchased milk and am drinking Orange Pekoe tea, mmm.

Michelle and Ian and Poppy and Emma-Louise are due at any moment.

I have withdrawn cash and the moment they leave, I shall run to the nearest barber and demand they cut my hair. It's been needing cut for about a month, but I don't have time to do it! Why do most businesses and shops in town centres open 9-5 these days? How are you meant to get anything done without taking holidays? Especially when you work in the middle of nowhere and find that driving to anywhere other than the local Spar in your lunch break is impractical.

Woooooot.

Well actually, I wrote to the MP for Warrington South about the traffic sitiuation in town and asked if there were any plans to improve the traffic flow, also asking about improvements to public transport to the Daresbury Park area. I would quite like to get to work and back by bus, but 1 bus an hour is unreliable on a long-term basis.

I'm one step away from writing in to the Guardian's letters page :)

  1. How do you deal with stress?
Badly. Depends on what kind of stress it is really. At work, if I don't get a break from calls, if they're all being idiots and not reading the manuals I can get quite short and need to take time to calm down or I'll really give someone hell for being stoopid. If it's general life stress I sleep, or don't sleep... there's also food, which is a great stress reliever.
  2. Do you have a favorite "comfort food" and what is it?
No one favourite, though custard always features highly on the list.
  3. Do you have a "comfort activity" and what is it?
Watching favourite films, sleeping, drinking, again no particular one - it depends on the stress.
  4. What days depress you and why?
No days of the week depress me any more than any others. The days that Jane and I leave company for the week are always depressing.
  5. What days excite you and why?
The days I see her again!
