I'm a little disappointed because this puts my plans to move down south to warmer climes and closer friends a bit behind, and also I'm losing a day off a week :)

What does this mean? This means that I will no longer be taking as many general customer related calls as currently. I will be mostly dealing with internal customers, Cust Serv Advisors who need assistance with a query of a technical nature.

There will still be approx 1/3rd cust calls but hey - that's heavenly compared to how it is now :)

It also means that I've developed a new plan to get south. It basically revolves around me staying here for 6mths or so, then asking to be transferred - because I think it would be a little bit cheeky and presumptious and not good for me to ask for a transfer now, or in a couple of months time.

Yeah, that sounds like it could work out well. A change is always a good thing...and let's hope the internals have a bit more of a focus and knowledge base

We can hope that the internal customers are vaguely intelligent!
