They're just exchanging it. No questions asked! Weird. Anyhow, they can do it from Thursday onwards apparently. Great timing when we're going down to London on Thursday evening. Typical really. Will check if they can guarantee Thurs afternoon and I'm sure that one of us can ensure we'll be here, otherwise it's next week.

In other news - I have nasty toothache tonight. I think it's emerging-tooth-related but damnit it hurts more than normal. I've taken some Nurofen to dull my senses a bit, hope that will help. Besides that, I am going to bed.

Our sofa is once again falling apart. Piece of crap thing that it is. It's not like we abuse the things ya know. We like... sit on them.

Pleased I am not. I have called their customer service and apparently they will probably send out "an inspector". I am sure this means someone will expect us to wait in all day and be here for them at their convenience.

Today's been a long day already, and only likely to get longer.

Last night, Dawn and I were sat on my sofa, when there was a sudden... I want to say "ping" or "spang" or "boing" but it kinda defies description. So there was this noise and the back of the sofa-bed lurches back. I jump off and examine the back, expecting to find a broken or out of place slat, only to find that the metal strut which holds the slat-frame to the leg-frame has sheared off.

It's not even like I was doing anything with it other than sitting on it!
I just had a quick chat with the ikea people on their support chat thingie and they said as it's over a year old I would need to write to them. It's definitely something that they should fix as this metal thingie has literally sheared off, not snapped or anything. The weld couldn't have been strong enough, and now the sofa-bed is unusable unless you stick books underneath the corner to support it, as Dawn found out last night! :)

I'll get some pictures taken, and a letter sent off sometime this week.

It's not even as if I can really take it back to the store to complain, as it's a bit big to fit in your average car!

I wanna pick up another Benno bookcase/CD rack. Plus I have a book I need to return t Borders which is a bit pants really, I should have read bits of it before I bought it but it looked interesting end educational, however has proved to be neither.

Stairfoot post office tomorrow morning. Must not forget. Last train ticket until the end of the month after work. Might do the phone call from work and go straight from work...
