No only am I drowning in a sea of spam and bounces (somebody is using philsumner as a soure for email and I get the bounces...), today I randomly checked my hotmail account to find some idiot has been posting fake Gumtree ads using my Hotmail email account.

Not impressed am I. I'm currently half-way through recording Romeo and Juliet from my PC to the PVR which I don't want to interrupt, so have had to delete all the bloody ads from my handheld. What tedious fun.

The prats also left a mobile number on the advert, so I'm going to 141 it and give them hell... idiots. If only I still had access to the info I used to, I'd know plenty more than I do about them...

Thursday my ass.
Took a bit of fiddling 'cuz I'd set it up for my previous network, but it's there.

I now need to try and fix up my main server for my email. My other option is to run an IMAP mail server locally on the laptop, unless anyone knows of a way to convert a 'Maildir' mailbox to something that Thunderbird can read. Assuming, of course, that the disk drive still works.

Another fairly quick update... currently catching up on several hundred LJ entries which I can't be arsed to read through properly. You've probably all had major revelations in the past 2 weeks which I don't know about but hey, I'll live.

Demon have confirmed that Thursday 27th is when my ADSL will start. Nice. 2 and a half weeks after the order. If I didn't know it wouldn't make any difference I'd cancel and go with someone else.

Washing machine is gotten rid of, and a nice evening with Casee was had. Despite lugging around a fridge/freezer, carrying a washing machine up two flights of stairs and slight electrocution.

Work is OK. Slow still as nobody in management is telling me that I need to be doing anything, so I'm muddling along, playing with kit and figuring out what everything does and asking lots of questions. I'm slightly concerned about this and will ask on Monday if they actually want me to do anything specific.

Off to see pipsytip's show tonight, should be fun.

Off to London next weekend to see the parents. Hurrah.
